OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a free, open source mapping platform popular across the GIS community. The beauty of OSM is that anyone can use it - and the data generated by the OSM community can save lives. This project utilizes OSM data on buildings downstream of hydropower dams in order to improve emergency preparedness plans and promote flood resilience.
